The Face Behind TRU
From a young age I always had a passion for skincare and beauty. As a teenager, I always struggled with cystic acne, sun damage, and more, with my skin. Finding a skincare routine that worked for me seemed impossible. So, I too, understand the struggle. That's why I'm here, to teach you that your skin care concerns are not failures. They make up "The Real U"!
I graduated esthetician school in 2021 and opened TRU 2 months later. Being a young and upcoming esthetician, it was scary opening up a business on my own but, I knew it’s what I was meant to do. I strive in educating myself to care for all skin types no matter the condition. My goal is to provide you with the up-most service.
Doing what you love, and loving what you do is what makes your passion worth it! My career chose me, And thank God it did! All my life I knew I was born to be a nurse. I wanted to help people and make a change in their life. The lord chose differently for me and blessed me with the best career I could ever ask for! I can make a difference, I can help people fall in love and find confidence in their skin. There is truly no better feeling!

Hi, I’m Angela—a Medical Esthetician with over 10 years of experience specializing in advanced skincare and laser treatments. My passion for skin started at a young age and has grown into a career focused on delivering real, visible results through personalized, high-level care.
I specialize in medical-grade skincare and advanced treatments including CoolPeel CO2 laser resurfacing, microneedling, and customized laser treatments designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall health. My approach is both results-driven and refined—combining clinical expertise with a luxury experience to ensure every client feels confident, comfortable, and cared for.
I believe that no two clients are the same, which is why I take the time to truly understand your skin and create tailored treatment plans that align with your goals. Whether you’re looking to rejuvenate, correct, or maintain your skin, my goal is to help you achieve naturally beautiful, glowing results.
In addition to aesthetics, I’m also a certified fitness trainer, which allows me to take a holistic approach to beauty and wellness. I believe confidence starts from within—through both healthy skin and a strong, balanced lifestyle.
Above all, I’m a wife and proud mother of two, and I bring that same level of care, attention, and dedication into every client experience. Helping others feel confident in their skin is not just what I do—it’s what I love.

Hello everyone,
My name is ShayAbigail Huter Beam, and my passion for skin health was born from my own personal journey and challenges. I have been a licensed aesthetician since 2021 and have proudly worked exclusively with TRU Esthetics by M.B™ since the fall of 2022. I specialize as an acne expert and laser technician, with advanced training in CoolPeel, laser hair removal, and Everesse treatments.
Among the services I offer, microneedling remains a personal favorite for its transformative results. In my daily regimen, I cannot live without ZO Skin Health’s Daily Power Defense, while my go-to from SkinBetter is Intensive Even—both staples I consistently recommend to my clients.
On a more personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Jacob, whom I married on May 27, 2023. Our home is filled with love (and a little chaos) thanks to our daughter Salem Abigail, two horses, Larry and Prissy, and our spirited dogs, Dallas and Pearl. Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying walks with Salem and our heelers, making time for family and friends, or spending time with Jacob.

Hi friends, I’m April Kampwerth. I am a Christian, a wife, a proud mama, bonus mama, and the aesthetician behind your skincare journey.
My path to this career has been equal parts liberating, scary, and incredibly exciting. For years, my whole world was being a mom, and I cherished every moment of raising my children and watching them grow. As they began needing me a little less, I felt God nudging me to grow too — to find something that was mine, something I was truly passionate about.
I’ve always been a researcher at heart. I genuinely love learning, especially about skin, health, and overall wellness. The esthetics industry has always fascinated me, and once I stepped into it, I knew this was where I was meant to be.
I struggled with my own skin for years and grew tired of being told prescriptions were the answer. Watching money go down the drain on countless products, with no results or explanation as to why my skin wasn’t improving, it taught me there had to be more . A way to understand the “why,” not just cover it up. That belief shapes everything I do.
To me, skincare isn’t just about treatments. It's about slowing down, feeling cared for, and truly understanding your skin instead of fighting against it. When you come to me, you’re not just an appointment. I want you to leave feeling seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Not walking out with products you’re unsure about and no plan insight . My goal is to build real relationships and educate you along the way. It is a privilege to have you invest in me, and I don’t take it lightly.
